ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES

To fulfil its goals, the Spanish Association of Foundations offers the following activities and services to its associates:

Information and Communication

The Spanish Association of Foundations generates, gathers and transmits by e-mail and its Web Page relevant information to its associates. This information is sent to the persons chosen by each Foundation. All the information is sent through the following channels:

Foundational Information Gazette: It is a compilation of news on Foundations published in more than 300 written media. It is sent weekly to the associates.

Electronic Bulletin: They offer weekly information on the activities of the associates.

Informational Notes: They are communications which intend to inform the associates of any legal news which may afect them.

www.fundaciones.org: offers complete information on the goals and activities of the Association, allowing easy access to complementary information relevant to Foundations.

Publications

Cuadernos de la Asociación Española de Fundaciones is a review which intends to divulge analysis, reflections and news on the foundational world.

The Spanish Association of Foundations publishes information on its activities, in Tribuna de la Asociación Española de Fundaciones and in its annual report, as well as studies and monographs.

Consultancy

The Consultancy Service is offered in a customized way to all the associates, offering answers on legal, fiscal, accounting and documentation matters, and on any issue which may be of interest to Foundations. The simpler questions are answered by telephone or e-mail. The complex ones are dealt with in writing or in individual appointments.

Education

One of the goals of the Association is to satisfy the need of education and training of its associates and to contribute to the professionalisation of the sector. To that end it annually offers a wide educational programme, (seminars, conferences and informational sessions), designed to improve management skills on fund raising, marketing, accounting, as well as on any other topic of interest for the Foundations.

The Association also participates in pos-graduate programmes organized with the collaboration of universities and other educational entities.

Agreements

The Association signs agreements with companies and institutions so that they offer preferential conditions in the access of the associates to their products and services.

Among these are educational institutions, banks, travel agents, insurance and telecommunications services and express mail.

Interests-Specialized Groups

The Association promotes working groups of associates whose activities and goals are similar or complimentary. All of them intend to promote the exchange of information, the collaboration, the initiation of projects of shared interest, and the establishment of flexible formulae which would allow to work better together.

Help to the new Foundations

The Association supports the creation of new Foundations, offering guidelines in the process of constitution, not only from the legal point of view, but also from the economic and the managerial one.

Institutional Activity

One of the main goals of Spanish Association of Foundations is to be an instrument of combined reflection and decision making of the sector, and a representative voice before the Public Administration.

The main demonstration of this institutional presence is related to the legislative activity of the State and the Regional governments on foundational issues.

The Association outlines proposals and suggestions to the different projects drafted by the central or regional govenments, and it stays in touch with parliamentary groups.

This work can be entirely realized thanks to the permanent relation and feed back with the associates, which transmit their problems and daily management.
