AIMS

Among the goals of the Spanish Association of Foundations are the promotion of the communication among spanish non lucrative entities, representing a permanent channel of negotiation with the Government for the solving of any matter which may be raised regarding the foundational world. Acting as a spokesman and a representative of the sector, it defends its interests at every moment, but especially at the moment when the legal and fiscal provisions related to it are being drafted.

It is also a provider of services to the associates. It offers:

• Free and regular information on the news of the sector, thanks to its publications Tribuna de Fundaciones y Cuadernos.
• Training, courses, seminars and conferences on topics of interest for the Foundations. The Associates enjoy deductions on the courses´fees.
• Legal, accounting and fiscal advice, as well as a documentation service, with information on the sector.
• Preferential conditions in the access to products and services provided by companies and institutions on different fields: advertising, direct marketing, express delivery...
• Contacts and collaboration opportunities with other foundations with similar goals, thanks to the Interests-Specialized Groups. The Association is a promoting platform of the sector, a valuable meeting point for the associates: to discuss and reflect on common problemas; to divulge the knowledge generated by each actor, in order to multiply its efficacity; to obtain a greater impact on the media, in order to give visibility and transparency to its intense activity before society. At the present time seven Specialized Groups are working with this methodology: University, Health, Infancy and Adolescence, Culture and Disability, Technology and Labour.
• Contacts and links with Foundations of other countries, thanks to relations established by our Association in Europe, United States and Latin América. The Spanish Association of Foundations is present at importat european meetings organized by the European Foundation Center and by other National Associations of Foundations. With this participation we intend to communicate to the spanish foundations the achievements of the european ones, and to set up the basis for the exchange of experiences and projects.
